Sunflower Notecard

Hi Everyone!! I have a Fall project that I would like to share with you! I created a 3 x 3 notecard using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used American Crafts - Pumpkin Patch Design Paper for the envelope. I added a sunflower that I created using Magnolia Doohickey Club Volume 6 Sunflower Dies. Isn't the center so cute with the little heart! I added a twine bow behind it along with a leaf that I found at Hobby Lobby.

For the scalloped card, I used American Crafts - Pumpkin Patch Digital Embellishment Collection. I cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Is On It's Way!!

Hi Everyone!! I have been under the weather with pneumonia for the last month, so I tried to make some simple Easter projects while I have been recuperating! I hope you like them!

I found a sweet little bunny template on Pinterest, so I decided to make some Easter cards using gingham papers that are on the bias. I added a little bit of lace from Daiso along with some seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also added some leaves that I punched out and a sweet ceramic flower that I found at Pretties By Alease. I printed out the "Happy Easter" on my computer.  I think they came out really cute!!

I also created some rosettes using Sizzix #658339 Brenda Walton Medallions Die.  I used some digital papers from MyGrafico - DBAIsabel Set #1 and #2. I topped the rosettes with a scalloped circle that I punched using EK Success 1" Scallop Punch along with some butterflies that I punched using Martha Stewart Medium Single Butterfly and the 3 in 1 Butterfly Punches. I added a Recollection Pearl to the center of the butterflies. I have been making some different rosettes lately. I think they are really cute to add to a card, treat bag or box. They also make a nice little handmade gift to put in Happy Mail!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog!! I hope you all have a wonderful Spring, a wonderful Easter!!

Crepe Paper Rosettes

Hi Everyone!! I was watching some haul videos on Youtube and some of the girls had found crepe paper rosettes from Maggie Holmes at Tuesday Morning. The Tuesday Morning near me didn't have any, so I decided to try to make some. I used some crepe paper from Melissa Frances that I purchased several years ago. I cut the crepe paper into 1" x 11 1/2" strips and gathered the long edges with a running stitch to form the circles. I added some gold glitter paper from Recollections to the centers along with some scraps from my stash. I also printed the sayings and cut them into little banners. I love how they came out and can't wait to add them to my projects!
Thank you for stopping by my blog today!! Have a wonderful day!!

Heart Rosettes

Hi Everyone!! I would like to share with you some heart rosettes that I created using Nellie Snellen Small Heart Die - NFD011. Instead of stitching the inside edge of the die cuts like the instructions suggested to form the hearts, I formed them on a silicone craft mat from Stampin Up and hot glued the centers to hold them together. I just love using the silicone craft mat when creating rosettes. It makes it so much easier!!        I added some glittered foam heart stickers from the Dollar Tree to the centers along with some cute heart embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The hearts are approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/2", which is a nice size     to add to a card or a treat bag.  I think they came out so cute!!!

I Heart Fall!!

Hi Everyone!! I have to admit that Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! I love when the weather starts to get crisp and the leaves on the trees start to change colors. Even though we didn't have very much of a Fall this year, my hubby and I were still able to enjoy some of our Fall Traditions.  One of the things we love doing is going to Avila Valley Barn in San Luis Obispo to buy apple crisp, apple cider and pumpkins to decorate our front porch!

For my shaker card, I cut the pumpkin shapes out of American Crafts Pumpkin Patch Design Paper using my Silhouette - 3 Thanksgiving Icons, #33067. I used Judikins Embossable Window Acetate to cover the opening of the pumpkin. The cute little fox along with the other images are from Lawn Fawn Into The Woods Stamp Set. I colored them with Copic Markers.

Thank you for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful Fall day!!

Fall Is In The Air!!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been away for so long! It was such a hot Summer here in California! One of the hottest ones that I can remember!! Without central air, it was unbearable on some days. Needless to say, I didn't get very much crafting done. In the last couple of weeks, it has started to cool down, especially in the evenings. It is so nice!! Fall is finally here!

I would like to share a Fall card that I created using Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest Stamp and matching Die Set. I colored in all the images that I used with Copic Markers. I created the watercolor paper background using orange and yellow Liquid Acrylic Paints and Gold Pearl Ex Powder that I have had in my stash for years. You can find a wonderful tutorial on how to do this technique on Youtube from creativeyoungmama.  After the piece dried, I cut it out using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die. The orange gingham paper is from Lori Whitlock's Fall Fling Digital Paper Collection. For the final touch, I added a little bit of twine to the edge.

Thank you for stopping by today!! Happy Fall To You All!!

Happy 4th of July!

Hi Everyone! Can you believe that it is July already! Where has the year gone! There is always a big celebration in my neighborhood for 4th of July. Everyone decorates the outside of their houses with American flags and red, white and blue buntings. There is also an annual neighborhood bike parade that my hubby and I participate in. We decorate our bike wheels with red, white and blue crepe paper. It is always a lot of fun. We live near the Los Alamitos Airbase, so they put on a air show and we get to see all sorts of planes overhead. My favorite part is when the paratroopers jump out of the planes. At night,  the sky becomes a frenzy of fireworks right above my house.  I look forward to it every year!

For my card, I used the very cute American Bow Tilda. I colored her using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Hero Arts Ultrafine Prisma Glitter to white stripes of the bow and Wink of Stella to the stars. For the fireworks background paper, I used Echo Park 4th of July Digital Papers. The white crocheted trim is from JoAnn's and the star ribbon is from my stash. For the little red star, I used some red glitter tape from the Dollar Tree that I applied to some red cardstock and then punched out.  For the "Happy 4th of July," I used Stampendous SSC216 Holiday Words Clear Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! For those of you who live in the USA, I hope you have a fun and safe 4th of July! For those of you who live outside of the USA, have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hugs,
Suzan
